Fil-Am History Month | FIND Meeting

October 9, 2019

Pinay Visionariesc

by: Alpheus Matthew Llantero

This October is Filipin(a)-American History Month

In line with the Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS), we'll be telling the story of Pinay Visionaries.

"Throughout history, Pinay — Filipina American women — leaders, laborers, scholars, scientists, and activists have been the backbone of the Filipina/o American community. These Filipina Americans have overcome racial and gender discrimination, and have persevered to contribute to their respective fields."

Interested in contributing a song, poem, short story, essay, painting, photo, anything? Send your submissions to rapsbalita@gmail.com or send our Editor-in-Chief Alpheus Matthew Llantero a message!

FIND Meeting

by: Jared Borja

Who are you? We'll help you FIND you (...hehe)! We'll be finding out more about ourselves, as a community, and how we're more the same than different as well as talking about FIND

Have you FOUND out what FIND is? No?? Been hearing the amazing stories of FIND's past?? Wanna learn more about it? Come out to this meeting in the LSC Gathering Lounge (its the room with the piano) at 9pm and learn more about the annual FIND conference coming up.

For those of you who do not know, "The Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue, Incorporated (FIND, Inc.)" is a student-led organization comprised of Filipino-related collegiate organizations throughout the east coast and was established in the spring of 1992 with the mission to promote unity and cooperation among Filipino students enrolled in institutions of higher education.

RAPS is part of FIND, Inc. District 3, the biggest District on the east coast!
